  Paradise Threadfin
Sean - USA-CT   (Monday, August 6, 2007)

A friend of mine ordered this fish from Pedro and it is going strong!- This fish has a poor record in captivity, however, the specimens from Pedro seem to excel in captivity where other suppliers specimens do not fare to well! Pedro really knows how to condition these fish before sale!

Pictures do not do this fish justice! It is a fascinating fish to see and observe-A TRUE oddball!

I plan on ordering one as soon as Pedro get more in....The tank is up and ready to go!

  Polynemus paradiseus
Michael C - Boston   (Friday, January 19, 2007)

Very cool fish.... needs a bit of special care though.

The paradise Threadfin is native to Bangladesh, India, Thailand
and Malaysia. Lives over sandy bottoms, regularly entering freshwaters during breeding season. Feeds mainly on crustaceans (especially shrimps), small fishes and benthic organisms. Ideal enviroment will be a heavy brackish (more salt than average) enviroment.

Environment: Freshwater brackish marine depth range - 25 m Also found in and around reef systems.
Climate: Tropical
