Peacock
Derrick - Ohio (Thursday, March 1, 2007)
This fish is mainly known as a Sunshine Peacock. It is an African cichlid from Lake Tanganyika, and should be kept with cichlids from the same place. The males look stunning, though females come out grey and boring looking. In a male, the face will become a valiant blue color, while the body becomes a bright yellow. Real awesome looking fish! They grow to around 5 inches. Mine loves to eat Spectrum Cichlid Formula (it brings out a cichlids' color), some bloodworms, beefheart, flakes, brine shrimp, and even feeder guppies.
