Albino Knife fish 3-4" (Chitala ornata) (Albino)
(fwf odd knifefish albino knife)
Fish Size:
Chitala ornata, otherwise know as a featherback fish, or Knife fish, is quite an interesting species. They are a nocturnul species, so the aquarium should be set up with places for the Knife fish to hide during the day. Much like its counterparts, the Albino Knifefish, can get to over 3 feet. The featherback fish should be kept in an aquarium with 75-82 degrees. They are carnivores, and will attempt to eat anything they can fit in their mouth. A varied diet, much like they have in the wild, worms, fish, small shrimp even pellets are a great diet for The Clown knife fish. Albino Knifefish are best kept in schools when they are juvenille, however, as they become adults they tend to be more active alone. So a small school, when small, will fill a tank beautifully when they are adults.
