Crenicichla Acutirostris will grown to about 15". When adults they have beautiful red and yellow coloration. Anything smaller than Crenicichla Acutirostris will be considered food; be mindful of tankmates, as they can be an aggressive pike. If looking to breed Acutirostris, it is best to get a few small specimens and have them naturally pair off. As for tank setup consider caves and long narrow hiding spots.
