Feeding: Tetradon miurus requires a meaty diet. Foods such as prawns, earthworms, mussels, etc are ideal. Most wild caught specimens will sometimes only accept live foods, but eventually will eat prepared.
Aquarium: The Congo Puffer(Tetradon Miurus) ia am ambush predator. It is not really safe to keep with other fish. It will eat any fish it can fit in its mouth; and most often tank mates are usually attacked. It definitely will not tolerate the same species. The only fish that might be successfully kept is armored catfish or plecos. Due to their small size, they can be kept in 30 gallons or less.
Breeding: Tetradon Miurus has not been bred in captivity. There is no distinction between male and females. Since this species does not cohabitate very well, it is hard to create a pair.
